White Maize (Mealie) is great with most meals. It can be cooked fresh or dried and crushed to make samp or maize meal (Pap).
Maize will germinate between 10 and 30 degrees. Optimal germination temperature of 18 to 25 degrees.
Maize is best planted directly into the soil with spacing of at least 30 to 50cm between plants and 50 to 100cm between rows. Place 3 or 4 seeds per hole. This is known as multi-stalking and increases production per square meter.
Minimum 20 seeds per pack.
